Aikido is a Japanese martial art style that enables students to defend themselves against attacks while protecting the attackers from injury. Students will learn to use their skill and mental strength to blend with an opponent and safely subdue them without aggression or violence. Aikido incorporates blending, throws and joint locks, as well as rolls and breakfalls. A strong emphasis on calm and spiritual strength will be encouraged in class.
