About this Class

Art is more than just a hobby, it’s a pathway to healing. The Healing Lab is a creative space for youth ages 14–21 who are dealing with loss connected to violence, overdose, or trauma. Grief can feel heavy, but you do not have to carry it by yourself. This is a place where you can show up as you are, be real about what you are going through, and find people who understand. We use art, storytelling, music, and creative projects as a way to release, reflect, and heal. You do not have to be an artist to join, just bring yourself. Along the way, you will have access to grief support and mentorship from trusted community members who are available when you need guidance, encouragement, or simply someone to listen. Why Join Us? 🎨 Create and Express Use art, storytelling, and hands-on creative projects to process what you are feeling and share your story in your own way. 🧠 Real Support Build emotional coping tools and have opportunities to connect with grief support and mentorship from community members in a youth-friendly, low-pressure environment. 🤝 Find Your People Connect with other young people who understand loss and are figuring things out too. No judgment, just community. ✨ End-of-Program Showcase Celebrate your growth at a live showcase where your artwork, stories, and creative projects are highlighted in front of peers, family, and community. It is a chance to be seen, uplift one another, and turn your healing into something powerful.
